/syndicate is a sponsorship marketplace where companies and individuals with a product or service to promote can browse a directory filled with publications who have listed their unique sponsorship opportunities with dates available for purchase.
/syndicate simplifies and streamlines the sponsorship process, providing ease of booking, payment handling, communication management, and a consistent experience from purchase through publication.
/syndicate makes the payment process painless with an integrated payment gateway and a weekly earnings disbursal schedule. You will also have a designated point of contact through the entire process and access to a custom-tailored order page for each sponsorship to conveniently share content, communicate and collaborate.
You can apply here by completing the form to provide us with information about your publication. A member of our team will get in touch if we think it would be a great match for /syndicate.
There is no membership fee, and /syndicate does not charge a fee to have your listing included in our directory. We only collect a small percentage (30%) from each order as a service fee to support our operations so that we can continue to provide our first-class, sponsorship management service.
/syndicate was designed to help publishers sell anything from custom written sponsored posts to newsletter native ad placements, podcasts, dedicated emails, and more. Get in touch if you would like to discuss your sponsorship opportunity with us.
Yes. /syndicate is a non-exclusive network. You are welcome to continue selling sponsorships independently, but we ask that you keep your scheduling calendar up-to-date to prevent the double-booking of sponsorships.
Yes. When an order is placed, you will receive a notification email that includes the name of the company purchasing the sponsorship. You can then evaluate whether or not this would be appropriate for your audience. If you do not wish to move forward, just reply to the order notification, and we can refund the sponsor.
We will need to know what materials are required from the sponsor to fulfill the offer as outlined on your publication profile page. This can include information like the maximum length of ad copy, image size requirements, and more. Let us know what you need, and we will gather it for you.
Payment is typically released to your /syndicate account the Monday after the sponsorship has been published. You can then request a withdrawal via your preferred payment method by signing in to your user account and navigating to the “Transactions” page from your publisher dashboard.
/syndicate works with a variety of mediums, including websites, newsletters, and podcasts. You can browse our network of sites by navigating to our directory and filtering publications by category and sponsorship type.
The publication manages the pricing of their own sponsorships by evaluating a number of factors to set a competitive price in their respective niche. /syndicate does not control the pricing.
All hyperlinks within the ad will pass through our custom short domain (synd.co), allowing click data to be collected via bit.ly’s API. The stats for your primary campaign URL will be available to monitor at your leisure from the correlating performance page in your /syndicate dashboard.
The content may be written by the advertiser or the publisher depending on the sponsorship type. This will be indicated on the sponsorship profile page. You can also filter by ‘Content Type’ in the /syndicate directory. An advertorial requires that content be submitted by the advertiser, while a sponsored post requires only a creative brief from which the publisher will draft the content. Underwritten content is usually created by the publisher, but not always. Please, contact us from the “Send Inquiry” button on any listing if you need clarification for that particular publisher.
After you have booked a sponsorship, an order notification email is automatically delivered to all parties involved in the process. Once your order has been approved and the publish date is within range, we will create a custom workspace for the order through GatherContent, a platform we utilize for sponsorship collaboration. You will be invited to the platform when the workspace is ready where instructions outlining the workflow and in-app communications are fully detailed.
No. Search engine guidelines require machine-readable disclosure of paid links. This is non-negotiable. If this rule is ignored, both the advertiser and publication may be penalized by the search engine and lose rank or even be banned. Sponsorships are not to be used for the purpose of increasing PageRank in Google Search.
What you receive in addition to the primary ad placement varies by publication. The publisher decides what to include in their sponsorship offer based on the value of different channels in their brand and their current editorial processes. Often these extras will be mentioned by the publisher in their sponsorship profile.
GatherContent is a content management and collaboration platform.
GatherContent is not owned in part or full, nor is it operated, by /syndicate. It is a third-party service to which /syndicate subscribes and utilizes in the sponsorship process.
GatherContent provides /syndicate with programmatic functionality to create custom templates modeled upon the sponsorship offer of individual publications and organize the flow of communication, allowing us to expedite collection and delivery of the creative assets required to fulfill each sponsorship.
Due to the volume of orders managed by /syndicate at any given time, reliance on email correspondence has been deemed inefficient in collecting, organizing, and delivering creative assets. Thusly, email correspondence is used sparingly with most communication occurring through the GatherContent application interface.
Upon updating the page status from “Draft” to “Review”, you are confirming that the form has been completed with the requested information and is ready to be shared with the other party. Permissions to access the page are switched during the review process at which time you will be unable to view or edit the form. If a change must be applied, please contact us with the details of your request via the confirmation email you received from GatherContent when the page status was updated.
Note: If no further action is required of you in regards to the form, updating the page status is the last action you will perform within the GatherContent interface.
